We made it to June and boy am I glad. I love May, but all the celebrations that go on in my family can get overwhelming. They are especially overwhelming when I just want to be a healthier person. Even so, I allowed myself to indulge and I enjoyed the month as best I could. I even managed to lose a few pounds… I was surprised about that.
The past week has been one of a lot of walking. Most of the days, we had great temperatures and sunny skies. I hit well over 10,000 steps multiple times. One thing I am truly grateful for is that my kids love to walk, and they love to take long walks. It’s so nice for all of use to get our exercise and increase our Vitamin D.
Eating was ok this week. I wouldn’t say that I excelled in health, but I didn’t do terribly bad. I think I have recognized that I do tend to take rather large portions at dinnertime and I might want to chill on that a bit, but otherwise I’d say I’m doing well.
Our homeschool year came to an end this week as well, so that means I have even more time to get outside and get active. Summer is near… playtime is here! (too peppy?)
