This week was hot! I mean temperature hot. Summer is in full swing and by the afternoon it is just scorching out. But that doesn’t mean I can’t get a walk in. It just means that I have to leave the house a little earlier in the morning to beat the heat.
As for the rest of my health… summer hasn’t affected my eating at all. That’s probably because when it is hot out, the last thing I want to do is eat. Or cook. Or eat anything cooked. Because of that, I feel like my calorie intake has been on point. I don’t count calories, but I am aware of what I eat and how much I eat. This week, I did well.
I’ve made it a point this week to make sure I am getting a lot of movement in daily. I’ve also been very good about working with my weights to help tone up my arms. I wish these things happened overnight, don’t you? I can remember my arms looking a whole lot better not too long ago. I’m kind of mad at myself for letting that slide because it’s going to take a lot of work to get back to where I was. Ugh.
One day I’ll learn to just keep going – stop quitting.
I weighed myself. I usually don’t do that until the month is over, but for whatever reason I did it this week. With all the walking and probably all the sweating (real life), I’ve already dropped three pounds this month. I think it will be no problem hitting my five pound goal that I set for July. I just need to stay away from ice cream… in this heat, ice cream just sounds fabulous.
