I think the weather here is finally starting to change. I was able to get out a bit this week for walks, and boy did it feel great! My physical body needed it and my emotional self needed it. I even hit well over 12,000 steps a couple times – love those long walks!
I’ve been thinking a bit about my food intake this week, and I think I need to change some stuff.
I try to eat healthier these days, and I’ve been doing well at staying away from excessive sugar. I also do great at not eating fast food. But… I was looking around at the things in our house that I tend to gravitate towards and most of it is processed food. And when you read a processed food label, well, there is still a good amount of sugar involved as well as other unhealthy stuff that I can’t even pronounce.
I’ve decided that I really need to focus more on unprocessing my body. In other words, I need to eat more whole foods and less boxed junk.
Why is it so hard to do that? Honestly, it just isn’t easy.
Do you struggle with living a more unprocessed life?
I’m not sure how much I will remove or how it will all play out, but I do know that if I want to lose more weight and feel better in general, I’m going to have to detox from the processed stuff.
I guess that’s where I am going to be focused right now. With spring starting to show up, maybe the produce section of the grocery store will start to look better. One can hope!
