When we first moved here, Wyoming was frozen. Lakes, ponds, rivers, and creeks were all locked in a sheet of ice. It was cold and the earth was definitely in hibernation mode.
We have a really cool pond in view from our rental home and the winter walk around it was chilly yet beautiful.
But spring has finally broken through the ice, melting it away and creating something new and vibrant.
Our little pond is a great place for family walks. Today, for my birthday, I decided walking was in order. What better way to kick off my fortieth year and to reclaim my health than to get outside and breathe in the fresh air?
I love the way the trees reflect in the water. I love how peaceful the pond is. I love the mountains off in the distance and the birds chirping in the trees. Today was a good day.
