Summer is here. The sun is shining on most days, the air feels great, and I am ready to make some goals for this new month. Even though my progress for the year hasn’t been exactly what I had hoped it would, I think I’m still doing a fairly good job at setting achievable goals for each monthly increment. The overall “big” goal is looking harder and harder to reach, but if I just stay consistent…
Well, if I just stay consistent then maybe I’ll surprise myself.
I have a goal to walk every single day in the month of July. I need to get my exercise, and walking is something I greatly enjoy.
I have some hand weights that I will be using three to four times a week. I have a routine set out, and I plan to work towards toning my arms. They’ve gone a bit flabby and I just don’t like that.
Make Good Daily Choices
Because consistency is the key to success, I am making it a goal to make reasonable daily choices in what I eat and how I speak to myself. Eating a little less at each meal will cut my calories. Speaking life into myself rather than constantly reminding myself of all the negative will help my overall physical and mental health as well.
Lose 5 Pounds
I didn’t set a pound goal last month, but this month I feel like I need to get back to that. I want to lose five pounds in July. I think this is a totally achievable and realistic goal. If I continue walking and making good choices, consistently, I will have no trouble at all.
Consistency… that’s my focus for the month of July. What are your goals?
