One of my goals for 2018 is to take time daily to focus on what I’m thankful for. In order to do that, I purchased a simple horizontal lined planner. This particular planner came from Plum Paper, but it really could have been from anywhere. I just happen to like Plum Paper.
I chose to use a planner rather than a regular journal because of the writing space. As you can see in the pictures below, a horizontal planner offers just a limited area to write in each day. It is plenty for a few sentences, but not an entire story.
I like that the space is limited.
I’ve found that sometimes when I journal there is just too much space. There are people who can leave the blank space, and then there is me. I need to fill the space. I don’t know why. I just do. And a daily gratitude journal should be specific and to the point, not stressing me out with what else to add to cover the white space.
The simple horizontal planner offers me the perfect space to spend five to ten minutes a day listing my gratitude. And the design is such that I can keep it as something to look back on in the future.
That’s one 2018 goal ready to go – I’m looking forward to getting started!
